A Day at the Zoo
This year, the BYU-TCU football game was at Fort Worth, so we went to it. The day after the game, we went to the Fort Worth zoo. The Fort Worth zoo is amazing! It has all sorts of different kinds of animals. I think that my favorite animals there were the chimps, the elephants, the penguins, and the jauguar. I took a ton of pictures, over two hundred, (my mom wasn't too happy about that.) Well, I loved going and seeing the animals, and I hope that we will be able to go there again sometime!

Happy Reunion on a Sad Note
Many of you already know that we lost one of our friends in Iraq two weeks ago. He died after complications to an appendectomy. It is such a sad time, and we have mourned with the Johnson Family. His funeral was this last Friday. Many people came, and we had the opportunity to reunite with many of our old friends. We were all sad that it took something like this to bring everyone together again, but it felt so good to be around so many familiar faces. It made me realize how important friends are. The whole weekend the scripture story about when the sons of Mosiah were reunited after their mission kept coming to my mind. It was so wonderful to see that everyone was still strong in the gospel. I am going to do better about keeping in contact with old friends!
Toothless Wonder
Justin lost his first tooth this last week. I am always amazed at how much older they look once they lose that first tooth. It makes me sad to see my little boy growing up, but he sure loves being older. Ever since we moved into our new house the Tooth Fairy has had a hard time finding our house, we figure it is because we live so far out. This time the Tooth Fairy came after Justin was already out of bed, we assumed it is because he gets up at 6:00 and it is still dark outside. Maybe someday the Tooth Fairy will figure it all out!

Oh, to have a girl again!
I just had to down load this picture of Abigail playing with her Baby and Stuffed Barney. It has been a long time since I have had a child interested in dolls. People can say what they want about nature, nurture, but the difference between my girls and boys is definitely nature, not nurture. Abigail loves to pile all of the dolls in the stroller and push the stroller around. She just learned to walk a few weeks ago, so she is not very stable and she gets very angry when the stroller runs into something! I am excited to be able to buy more girl toys for Christmas!

September is Over
We made it through September and now have the first six weeks of school over with. Tyson and Justin both got student of the month, and they all did well in their classes. We are well into soccer. Tyson's team moved to bigger fields and they are still learning how to play in positions. Tyson has been playing up instead of back and he is doing a good job. Justin had all of his same team return from last year. Justin is great at dribbling the ball. He is also very fast. Piano has started again with a new teacher, Deana Montague. She seems to be teaching them more technique which is good. The kids have enjoyed playing at the park behind her house every week during their lessons. Emily is doing violin at Tech again this semester. She has it two times a week and is doing a great job. They go slow, but work a lot more on technique than her old teacher. It has been a busy month, with not a lot of excitement. Tyson did get glasses. He looks great in them and it seems to be helping his headaches. BYU is undefeated so far this season and we are hoping it stay that way!
