Prayers are always answered
This past week Ryan lost his blanket. I looked all over the house for it and could not find it. I checked all of the unusual hiding places and still could not find it. He had to go to sleep without it and he was not happy. The next morning he was even more sad, but we couldn't find his blanket. Ryan was saying our morning family prayer and Jeff had him ask Heavenly Father to help him find his blanket. The kids all went to school and Ryan was still upset because he couldn't find his blanket. The thought immediately came to me look in the playhouse outside. I thought that would be a strange place for it since I didn't even know he had been in it, but I looked anyways, and sure enough there was Ryan's blanket. What a wonderful miracle. I am so thankful Heavenly Father is mindful of all our needs, even when they are as small as a blanket!
Battle of the Brothers
Justin and I signed a contract and I noticed a loophole in Justin's advantage. I wouldn't tell him the loophole. I had my pants in my hand and he started spanking me so I started whooping him with my pants. (We were in our underwear) Then he falsely surrendered so I stopped. Then he started attacking I started whipin' him again. We have a bunk bed and he got on the top eventually he went down and we started wrestling then Ryan came in; I have a heat lamp he spotlighted us with it I was on top the whole time.

Funny Things Said and Done in Pennsylvania
1. Mom had put on some golden pajamamas and was kneeling down for prayer. "Mom," Tyson exclaimed, "Your bumb is so golden!"
2. We had been eating breakfast in the hotel, adn Tyson finished before any of us. He got the room key and went up while we finished our breakfast. Dad and I finished second and were going to our room, when we got to our floor, we found Tyson aimlesly wandering the halls. when he saw us, he said, "I forgot our room number."
3. In our room after breakfast, Mom said, "I'm glad they had V8, it's a rare treat." "Gum's rare treat, Mom," Ryan replied.
Many more things happened in Pennsylvania, I had a ton of fun and am glad we went!

Cancelation! (only in Lubbock)
This week we had some very unusual weather! It was overcast and rainy all week. Thursday we woke up to the sound of rain and it never stopped. At moments it was harder than others, but it continued all day. By the end of the day we had received 6 inches of rain. Some places are used to a lot of rain, but not Lubbock, and the city is not built for a lot of rain because they made the streets the drainage route. By 9:00 p.m. several roads were closed because they were rivers and all of the roads had a lot of water on them. At 9:30 I received an automated phone call letting me know school had been cancelled because of the rain. I turned on the news at ten and found out all of Lubbock had cancelled school. This wouldn't have been so bad if it continued to rain, but it just so happened that Friday was the nicest day we had had all week. We didn't get anymore rain and by morning the roads were no longer flooded. We will now have to make up Friday another day! The people in Lubbock seem to jump the gun a lot when it comes to weather related issues! It was nice to have the kids home for an extra day!

Pennsylvania
Emily, Tyson and Justin at Gettysburg
Our first stop in Pennsylvania was Hershey. We spent two days at the amusement park there and then one day at Chocolate world. The kids got to ride lots of fun rides and the lines weren't too long. They even had a few rides for Ryan to go on. He liked all of them except the tea cups, they went a little fast for him. Jeff and I got to take turns going on the Fahrenheit with Emily. This roller coaster has the steepest drop in the US or world, I'm not sure which one. It was a really fun ride. It was scary and fast, but not jerky so you didn't come off with a headache like so many roller coasters.
At Chocolate world we got to see a 4-D movie on Chocolate. That is the reason for the glasses in the picture. We also got to go to Chocolate Tasting 101 where we learned all about chocolate and the proper way to taste it. It was quite interesting. We also went on a tour of how chocolate is made, and the kids got to work in a small chocolate factory where Hershey Kisses were made. Hershey, PA was a big hit for everyone in the Cluff Family!
After three days in Hershey we were off to Gettysburg where we spent one full day and two nights. We got to see all of the battlefields that were used during the civil war. We took an audio tour, which means you buy a CD and listen to it as you drive to all of the points. This was the perfect way to do it with young kids. We were able to go at our own pace and we didn't have to worry about Ryan or Abby disturbing anyone else. Ryan having been sleep deprived during our three days in Hershey spent most of the four hour tour asleep. Jeff and I would take turns getting out and looking at the different points along the way.
Our last day and a half we spent in Philadelphia where we got to see all of the historical things Philadelphia is famous for, including the Liberty Bell and Independence Hall. It rained the whole day we were here, but it didn't slow us down at all. We went on the "Quacker" for a tour of the city from land and water, but because of the lightning our water part didn't last very long. It was Tyson's birthday the day we were in Philadelphia so he got to choose the things we were going to do. The one thing they wanted to do that we didn't get to do is go to the US Mint. We didn't even think of it only being open on week days, and we were there on a Sunday. We flew home Monday afternoon, but before we left we drove out to Valley Forge and did another CD audio tour. This one only lasted about 1 1/2 hours, but it was very interesting.
Our vacation was not relaxing, but it was jam packed with fun! We all had a wonderful time and I don't think we will ever forget it!
I'm Dying
Tyson bore his testimony for his first time in sacrament meeting Sunday. It was a very sincere testimony, and he did a wonderful job. It was also his first time to fast dinner and breakfast since our churches time changed, and he thought it was horrible. By the time we got to church at 9:00 he couldn't even sit up and he kept sighing because he felt like he was dying of hunger and thirst. I finally told him just to eat some cereal I had brought for Abby because it didn't seem like he would make it. He ate a few and then felt bad for breaking his fast. Then out of the blue he went up to the pulpit to bare his testimony. He started it by saying today I was fasting, and I was dying. He was so sincere and honest about it, it made everyone smile. On his way to Primary he threwup, but didn't come and get us, instead just let his teacher know. Somehow his teacher found out he was on medication so told him maybe he should break his fast because it is not good to take medication on an empty stomach. What the teacher didn't know was the medication he was on is eye drops for his eyes. Oh, well, I guess I will be talking to his teacher next Sunday so he realizes I am not a horrible parent making him fast while on "medication!"
