I'm Dying

Tyson bore his testimony for his first time in sacrament meeting Sunday. It was a very sincere testimony, and he did a wonderful job. It was also his first time to fast dinner and breakfast since our churches time changed, and he thought it was horrible. By the time we got to church at 9:00 he couldn't even sit up and he kept sighing because he felt like he was dying of hunger and thirst. I finally told him just to eat some cereal I had brought for Abby because it didn't seem like he would make it. He ate a few and then felt bad for breaking his fast. Then out of the blue he went up to the pulpit to bare his testimony. He started it by saying today I was fasting, and I was dying. He was so sincere and honest about it, it made everyone smile. On his way to Primary he threwup, but didn't come and get us, instead just let his teacher know. Somehow his teacher found out he was on medication so told him maybe he should break his fast because it is not good to take medication on an empty stomach. What the teacher didn't know was the medication he was on is eye drops for his eyes. Oh, well, I guess I will be talking to his teacher next Sunday so he realizes I am not a horrible parent making him fast while on "medication!"
